Our care philosophy

The Olive & Oak Method™

Four phases, in order. The olive branch is healing and renewal; the oak is strength and endurance. Together they describe the work: restore what’s been lost, strengthen what comes next, be present for what matters most.

01

Root

“Find the root, not just the symptom.”

We start with a real conversation and real data: your history, your patterns, and comprehensive testing across hormones, metabolism, thyroid, gut, and nutrient status. Before we change anything, we understand what is actually happening.

02

Restore

“Restore what your body has been missing.”

Balance comes back when depletion is addressed. Hormones, nutrition, sleep, gut function, and key deficiencies get thoughtful, sequenced attention — with the smallest effective intervention, not the longest possible list.

03

Strengthen

“Build health that lasts.”

Once the foundation holds, we build on it: body composition, strength, cognition, recovery, and where appropriate, peptide and longevity-focused therapies chosen for your goals and your labs.

04

Thrive

“Feeling better is the beginning.”

The measure of good care is your Tuesday afternoon — steady energy, clear thinking, real sleep, resilience under load. We keep refining, retesting, and adjusting so progress holds over years, not weeks.

Testing philosophy

Normal isn’t the same as optimal.

Most lab reference ranges describe a population, not a person. They are built to flag disease — not to describe what thriving looks like for a 44-year-old who used to sleep well and no longer does.

So when someone is told their results are “normal” while they feel unmistakably unlike themselves, both things are usually true. The numbers sit inside the range. The range simply wasn’t designed to answer the question being asked.

We read labs in context: your symptoms, your history, your trend over time, and the relationships between markers. Then we test comprehensively enough to see the whole system, and specifically enough to act.

We look at patterns and trends across a full panel — not one flagged value in isolation.
“Your symptoms aren’t random. Let’s understand what they’re telling us.”

What we help with

Care organized around what your body needs

Not by pharmacy category, and not by whichever symptom shouted loudest at your last appointment.

Hormone Health

Testosterone, women’s hormones, and thyroid — evaluated together, because they never act alone.

Metabolic Health

Weight, insulin resistance, and body composition addressed as physiology — not willpower.

Energy & Vitality

Fatigue is a signal, not a personality trait. We look for what’s draining the tank.

Learn more

Gut & Digestive Health

Digestion touches everything: immunity, mood, hormones, skin, and how well you absorb your own nutrition.

Learn more

Mind & Mood

Cognition, stress load, focus, and sleep — supported biologically as well as behaviorally.

Longevity & Performance

Peptides, regenerative options, and long-horizon planning — evidence-guided, never hype-driven.

A virtual clinic

Care that meets you at home

We are built virtual-first — not as a pandemic workaround, but because it is genuinely better for this kind of medicine. Functional care depends on long visits, careful follow-up, and consistent retesting. That is far easier to sustain from your kitchen table than from a waiting room 40 minutes away.

You get unhurried video visits, labs drawn near you or collected at home, and a portal where your plan, results, and messages live in one place. We are certified to care for patients in all 50 states.

Why we’re built this way

Unhurried visits, from wherever you actually live your life.

3

A long video consult where we walk through your results line by line and build your written care plan together.

4

Ongoing support

Secure messaging, therapies and supplements shipped to you, scheduled retesting, and steady adjustment over time.

In their words

Stories from care

“Josh’s approach has been completely different from simply managing my symptoms. After struggling with chronic hives, the therapies he recommended have made a noticeable difference in my health. My hives have significantly decreased, and I finally feel like we’re addressing what’s actually going on instead of constantly managing symptoms.”

Brittney P. · Patient, 39

“Working with Josh and his team could not have come at a better time in my life. I was already halfway there with my diet and workouts, but I couldn’t kick my energy issues. He helped me optimize my hormones, get to the root of it, and set me up with a plan to fix exactly that.”

Cody C. · Patient, 38

“He didn’t just try to add another supplement or peptide — he looked for the root cause. I was on a peptide that was wrecking my energy, and instead of stacking something else on top, Josh had me stop it. I felt genuinely heard for the first time in a long time.”
